Dongying Port Guangli Port Area Passenger-Roll-on/Roll-off Berth Area and Supporting Service Area Land Formation Project

The Dongying Port Area is located along the northeastern coast of Dongying City, enclosed by north and south sandbreak dikes that run diagonally from northeast to southwest. The northern sandbreak dike features a rubble-mound breakwater structure, doubling as both a main port access road and operational platform. In 2009, the port extended its infrastructure by adding a 5,220-meter-long trestle-type approach embankment extending northeastward from the existing 1,800-meter-long rubble-mound breakwater. This expansion resulted in the completion and commissioning of two 30,000-ton-class bulk and general cargo berths on trestles—though one of these berths was later converted into an oil-product berth in 2010. Subsequently, the trestle was further extended approximately 1.4 nautical miles to the northeast, culminating in the construction of a new 50,000-ton-class terminal at its tip.

Jinyi Railway

The newly constructed Yiwu–Jinhua Railway begins at the Hangzhou-Wenzhou yard of Yiwu Station, with its left and right tracks diverging from there. The left track crosses over the mainline of the existing Hangzhou-Wenzhou Railway before running parallel to the right track into the Wufengshan Tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, the entire line closely follows the northern side of the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway. In the Yiwu section, the railway passes beneath the Hangzhou-Wenzhou Railway twice and intersects with urban roads twice—once under Xuefeng West Road and once over Dongxiao Highway. Near Donghua Street in the Jinyi Metropolitan New Area, a new Jinyi Station is established, seamlessly connecting with the under-construction Jinyi East Rail Transit Station on Donghua Street for easy transfers. Finally, just east of Tangya Station, the railway crosses over the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway and merges directly into the existing Shanghai-Kunming Railway line.

Qinzhou Port Railway

The Qinzhou Port Railway branches off from the Beibu Gulf Railway at Qinzhou East Station on the Beiliu-Qinzhou line, heading south to ultimately reach Qinzhou Port. With a mainline length of 29.3 kilometers, it serves as a critical infrastructure project supporting the economic development of Qinzhou Port’s industrial zone. The terminal station, Qinzhou Port Station, is located in Shuijingkeng Village, Dafanpo Town, in the southeastern part of Maoweihai Bay, near popular attractions such as Sanniang Bay and Qishier Jing, as well as the scenic sight of white dolphins swimming in the sea. In October 1992, the People’s Government of the autonomous region decided to jointly fund the construction of this railway through a partnership between the Nanfang-Fangchenggang Railway Company (which became Guangxi Local Railway Co., Ltd. in October 1995) and the Qinzhou Municipal People’s Government, with a total investment of 230 million yuan. By utilizing the Qinzhou Port Railway for maritime transportation, cargo shipments can now bypass the longer routes via the Nanfang or Beiliu-Qinzhou lines, reducing travel distances by 28 kilometers and 70 kilometers respectively. This new railway has thus emerged as a vital, efficient channel facilitating coastal economic development in Guangxi and providing a convenient gateway for goods from Southwest China to reach international markets.
