China-France Water Services Macau Tap Water Company
The Macao Water Supply Company Limited was established in 1932 and is the only public utility enterprise in Macao authorized by the government to operate a water supply franchise. After being taken over in 1985 by Sino-French Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited—formed jointly by France's Lyonnaise des Eaux Group and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited—the company embarked on modernized operations, significantly reducing water loss through the introduction of advanced technologies and management practices.
Wenzhou Sanyang Wetland Ecological Park Dredging Project
This project is located within the Sanyang Wetland of Wenzhou Eco-Park and falls under the category of upgrade and renovation projects. Its primary objective is to systematically address critical environmental issues in the Sanyang Wetland, such as insufficient hydrodynamics, unstable water quality, and poor aquatic ecosystems. The project aims to restore the wetland's water resources, water environment, and aquatic ecology, ensuring that water quality at key monitoring sections meets regulatory standards while improving overall water quality across the entire area.
The successful implementation of this project is of great significance for enhancing the scenic area's functionality and strengthening efforts to protect the Sanyang Wetland's delicate ecological balance. As part of this initiative, a total of 18 river channels have undergone dredging, covering a combined length of approximately 13.65 km. The total designed volume of dredged material amounts to 431,800 cubic meters.
Chongming North Coastal Wetland *Spartina alterniflora* Integrated Control Project
The project is located on the tidal flat area outside the seawall along the line stretching from the Chongqi Bridge to Liuyi Port in Chongming District, Shanghai. It begins in the west at the Chongqi Bridge, extends eastward to Liuyi Port, and is bounded to the south by the main seawall and to the north by the boundary between Shanghai and Jiangsu Province. The proposed use of marine resources involves temporary cofferdams. The selected site and intended use of marine resources for this project comply with the requirements of marine functional zoning. Specifically, the type of marine use falls under "Other Special Marine Uses" within the category of "Special Marine Uses," while the method of marine utilization will involve "Non-Permeable Structures." Our bureau has approved, in principle, the project’s proposed marine site and purpose, provided that the total marine area used remains within 150.0482 hectares.
