Hubei Short-Filament Geotextile Puncture Resistance Standards and Laying Techniques

Hubei Jingzhou Short-Filament Geotextile Specifically, there are two standards: the national standard and the enterprise standard. The national standard is, as the name suggests, the country’s official benchmark—ensuring that products meet rigorous strength metrics like tear resistance and bursting strength under specified basis weights. On the other hand, the enterprise standard represents a more flexible, non-standardized option tailored to a company’s specific needs. Simply put, these non-compliant products may not fully satisfy the stringent national requirements. However, certain applications—such as maintenance, filtration, or protective measures—might still opt for enterprise-standard materials based on their unique demands. Notably, national-standard filament geotextiles feature longer surface fibers and tend to have a whiter appearance compared to their enterprise-standard counterparts. Hubei Jingzhou Short-Filament Geotextile The product has shorter fiber filaments on its surface, and its color is slightly darker compared to the field geotextile.

Hubei Jingzhou Short-Filament Geotextile The technical and process requirements for paving are as follows:
1. Hubei Jingzhou Short-Filament Geotextile Before laying, submit detailed geotextile layout drawings and a progress schedule to the engineer;
2. Apply by manual rolling; ensure the geotextile surface is smooth and leave adequate margin for deformation.
3. In the project Hubei Jingzhou Short-Filament Geotextile Installation can be carried out using three methods: natural overlap, welding, and stitching, with welding being the primary approach. The width for both welding and stitching must be at least 100 mm, while the natural overlap should be no less than 200 mm.
4. Joints must intersect the slope line; at locations where they align with the slope toe or where stress may occur, the horizontal distance between joints must exceed 1.5 meters.
5. On the slope, anchor one end of the geotextile and then carefully lower it down the slope to ensure the material remains taut.
6. All geotextiles must be weighted down with sandbags, which will be used during the installation process and retained until the next layer of material is laid.
7. Trial Laying: Based on site conditions, determine the geotextile dimensions, cut the material accordingly, and then perform a trial lay. Ensure the cutting dimensions are precise. Check that the overlap width is appropriate, and verify that the overlapping areas are smooth with just the right amount of tension.
8. Positioning: Use a heat gun to bond the overlapping sections of the two geotextiles. Ensure the spacing between bonding points is appropriate. When stitching the overlap, keep the seam lines straight and maintain even stitch density.
9. After sewing, check whether the geotextile is laid smoothly and if any defects are present.
10. If any non-conforming issues are found, the geotextile being laid should be repaired promptly.
