Building waterproofing is absolutely essential, as the quality of waterproofing directly impacts the lifespan of a structure. PVC Shanxi Yuncheng waterproofing sheets—made from polyvinyl chloride—are an excellent high-performance polymer material for roofing applications, commonly used in large-scale venues such as stadiums and convention centers across major cities.
Waterproofing a building is absolutely essential, as the quality of waterproofing directly impacts the structure's lifespan. Polyvinyl chloride Shanxi Yuncheng PVC Waterproof Membrane It’s a consistently excellent polymer-based roofing waterproofing material, typically used in large-scale venues such as stadiums and convention centers across major cities.
ZHONGTAI HENGBANG would like to share some construction precautions for PVC waterproof boards made of polyvinyl chloride in Yuncheng, Shanxi. These can be summarized as follows:
1. When carrying out construction, consider the site conditions—the recommended application temperature for the roll material is above -5°C; polyvinyl chloride Shanxi Yuncheng PVC Waterproof Membrane Construction precautions.
2. When applying the roll material to special areas, proper treatment of additional layers is essential to ensure effective waterproofing; polyvinyl chloride Shanxi Yuncheng PVC Waterproof Membrane Construction precautions.
3. Construction surfaces must be protected—before the end of each work session, temporarily secure the roofing membranes to prevent them from being blown away; polyvinyl chloride Shanxi Yuncheng PVC Waterproof Membrane Construction precautions.
4. Waterproofing work must be carried out in a systematic and orderly manner—careless or haphazard construction is strictly prohibited. If equipment needs to be installed directly onto the completed waterproof membrane, an additional layer should be applied at the foundation area beforehand.

So, Shanxi Yuncheng PVC Waterproof Membrane Do you know how many specific installation methods there are? The most common ones are the cold-adhesive method and the floating installation method.
1. Cold Bonding Method
The construction method of applying PVC sheeting to the substrate using a specialized adhesive designed specifically for PVC materials, performed through cold application, is known as the cold-bonding method. Depending on the specific waterproofing design requirements, the cold-bonding method can be categorized into either full-bonding or partial-bonding techniques.
(1) Full-bonding method is a construction technique where the PVC sheet is completely adhered to the substrate.
① During construction, begin by pre-laying the PVC sheeting—spread it naturally and smoothly over the marked base surface (without adhering yet). Ensure it lies flat and straight, with no twisting or distortion.
② The longitudinal overlap width of the sheet material shall be 50 mm, with appropriate trimming applied. For transverse overlaps, a butt joint method is used, followed by covering the joint with a 200–250 mm wide PVC sheet (Type N) that has no composite layer, ensuring proper welding over the overlap area.
③ Fold one or more rolls of material in half along their longer side (approximately 10 meters). Apply the specialized adhesive separately to both the substrate and the surface of the rolled material, starting from the fold. Allow the adhesive to dry until it’s no longer sticky to the touch. Then, carefully align and press the pre-laid material together, using a roller to ensure thorough adhesion and compaction. Next, fold the remaining unfolded section of the material over, and repeat the process as described above—continuously applying adhesive, aligning, pressing, and compacting each segment until all sections are securely bonded. Finally, proceed with welding the overlapping seams.
(2) Partially apply the sheet material. When laying PVC sheets, adhere them to the substrate using either spot bonding or strip bonding methods.
Spot bonding: Sheet material is bonded to the substrate in a dotted pattern. Each square meter must have at least 5 bonding points, with each point covering an area of 100 mm × 100 mm.
Strip Adhesion: The roll material is adhered to the substrate in strip-like patterns. Each roll must have at least two bonding strips on the substrate, with each strip being at least 150 mm wide.
Installation Method 2: Dry-Laying Approach
Directly laid Shanxi Yuncheng PVC Waterproof Membrane At that time, the roll material is adhered to the substrate only along a fixed width around the entire perimeter of the waterproof layer—this is the construction method used for the non-adhered sections. The construction process for the loose-lay method is as follows:
Perform base leveling and cleaning → Mark alignment lines → Pre-lay the roll material → Weld overlapping seams of the roll material → Address special areas → Secure and press edges → Seal edges with sealing material → Final inspection.
First, the prefabricated membrane is laid out using the full-bonding method, with a longitudinal overlap width of 50 mm. Second, the membrane is fully adhered only along the perimeter edges of the entire waterproofing system, and the overlap seams are then welded together. For transverse joints, an abutting connection is used, followed by covering the overlap area with a 200–250 mm wide PVC membrane (Type N) that has no composite layer, ensuring proper welding over the joint.
